Commission for External Relations
The commision is in charge of TEJO’s external relations (Komisiono pri Eksteraj Rilatoj – KER) with other European and world youth organizations, focusing on cooperation, exchange and lobbying on issues that are important to TEJO and young Esperanto speakers. The commission is also in charge of coordinating TEJO’s work in youth platforms, like the European Youth Forum and the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organisations, training people on the rights of youth and supporting young TEJO activists to participate in international youth meetings.

International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organizations (ICMYO)
The International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organizations (ICMYO) is an international network for the biggest youth movements and regional youth platforms. It aims to bring together and represent the diverse voices of the youth organizations from all around the world, providing a platform for collaboration and cooperation, in order to have a stronger impact on global youth political actions and to achieve a full partnership between youth organizations and important stakeholders.
The main goals of ICMYO are to strengthen:
the representation of the diverse voices of the youth organisations,
the collaboration between youth organisations at regional and global levels, the coordination of political inputs for worldwide youth politics.

European Youth Forum (YFJ)
The European Youth Forum (YFJ) is an international non-governmental association, whose members are National Youth Councils and International Non-governmental Youth Organisations in Europe. It aims to represent the associations and youth generally in European and international institutions, such as the European Union, Council of Europe and United Nations. YFJ brings together around 100 organizations, including two main groups: (1) National Youth Councils and (2) International Non-governmental Organizations.
TEJO is a member of YFJ as an International Non-governmental Organization.
TEJO regularly participates in the biggest youth meeting of YFJ, YO!Fest, which occurs annually. It takes place alternately in Strasbourg, with the European Youth Event (EYE), in even years starting from 2014, and in different western European cities (Brussels, Maastricht) in odd years starting from 2011.

Council of Europe (CoE)
The Council of Europe aims to defend human rights and parliamentary democracy, and to guarantee the primacy of justice; to develop continental-scale treaties to harmonize the social and legal practices of member states; and to promote awareness of European identity on the basis of common values and in spite of cultural differences.
TEJO regularly organizes projects with the support of the Council of Europe, in its Youth Centers in Strasbourg or Budapest, or in other places.

UN & Unesco
UEA and TEJO both have been active in the United Nations (UN) and in its organization for education, science and culture (Unesco), for many decades.
At the moment, we are looking for a new commissioner to fill this position. The current responsible board member, Rakoen Maertens, will train the applicant, in order to allow for a smooth transition and acclamation. If you are willing to help, don’t hesitate to apply.

UNITED
UNITED for Intercultural Action is a European network against nationalism, racism, fascism and in support of migrants and refugees. More than 560 organizations from 48 European countries work together in UNITED, including TEJO. UNITED was founded in 1992 (officially registered as a charity under Dutch law in 1993) and provides a forum for active solidarity and cooperation between various organizations.
TEJO actively participates in UNITED events at least once a year.

United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY)
United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY) is a network of approximately 80 youth organizations from the entire world who are working towards achieving peace. Its main goal is to lobby and campaign for peace, and to empower young people regarding issues related to peacebuilding. TEJO started participating in a number of UNOY campaigns in 2015, but became an actual member in April 2018.
TEJO activists can participate in both network events and in other type of UNOY events.
